Country Ark Farm will launch its 17th year of Day Camp this summer! Our staff is busy planning hours of safe, farm fun for each participant.
In this packet, you will find the appropriate forms that need to be returned in order to attend Summer Day Camp at Country Ark Farm. Scholarship deadlines are very strict so if you need financial assistance with fees, please contact Nicole Armstrong at the Biondo Foundation as soon as possible, her number is 570-202-0119.
Our Day Camp activities include educational conversations about each animal on the Farm, bottle feeding baby animals, grooming & exercising them. New and very exciting is our New World Monkey Viewing Exhibit and our walk through parakeet aviary. Monia the camel and the African Eland both have new areas. We have been very busy this winter building a new Petting area for all to enjoy. We also offer many other games designed to encourage socialization and communication, crafts, games, and playtime in the outdoor picnic area. We have a handicap-accessible swing, hammock, sandbox, water slide and bounce house for all to enjoy. Campers may also be visited by local artists and musicians (past guests have included musician Obi Kaye & Paul Stefany and other local artists) who give their time to provide special activities geared toward the abilities of our campers.
Our entire staff works very hard to ensure that each camper has an experience that is educational, positive, and life-changing in a beautiful countryside setting. Call now to reserve the dates that you want for your child as the weeks fill up quickly.
Please indicate in the appropriate area the dates that you desire and we will do our best to accommodate that choice. Each family will be contacted after receipt of paperwork to confirm the date that their child will attend.
I encourage you to reserve your space now. Sessions are being offered between June 19th –June 30th, July 10th – 14th, and July 31st -August 11th. The summer day camp program runs from 8am to 2pm, Monday through Friday. Snacks and drinks are provided but campers must bring a bag lunch which will be enjoyed in the picnic area. Refrigeration and microwave are available.
